ABOUT US
Durak Tekstil, founded in Bursa in 1972, is an industrial company manufacturing sewing and embroidery threads. Durak Tekstil has two production sites in Turkey and China. In addition, it provides solution-oriented service to more than 75 countries across five continents, with five sales offices located in Poland, Austria, China, Bursa, and Istanbul.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
AN INNOVATIVE APPROACH
Durak places great importance on its R&D department and stands out with high-tech products brought to market. In addition to its core products, it offers reflective, glow-in-the-dark, metallized, and matte polyester threads for embroidery applications. It can also add specific features to sewing and embroidery products, such as UV resistance, flame retardancy, water repellency, and conductivity.

With its sustainability approach, Durak defines sustainability as the integration of environmental health, social equity, and economic vitality. In this context, people and environmentally friendly production are the company’s main focus. It can produce the full polyester range using recycled raw materials made from plastic bottles. It also offers sustainable products such as 100% organic cotton and lyocell.
